Ethical Principles

The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing. The journal follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and internationally accepted best practices in scholarly publishing. These principles guide all editorial, peer-review, and publication activities.

Our Publication Ethics Policy is founded on the following principles:

  • Authorship and contributorship.

  • Originality and plagiarism prevention.

  • Data access, sharing, and data citation.

  • Proper source acknowledgment and referencing.

  • Disclosure of conflicts of interest.

  • Accurate reporting standards.

  • Human and animal research ethics.

  • Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee approval.

  • Informed consent for research involving human participants.

  • Clinical trial registration, where applicable.

  • Author accountability and research integrity.

  • Prevention of research and publication misconduct.

  • Corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.

  • Ethical advertising and editorial independence.

Responsibilities

Authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial staff are expected to comply with the journal's ethical policies throughout the submission, peer-review, and publication process. Manuscripts that fail to meet these ethical requirements may be rejected or subject to editorial action in accordance with COPE and ICMJE guidance.

Editorial Responsibility

The Editorial Board is responsible for ensuring that all published research meets the highest ethical and scientific standards. The journal investigates allegations of publication misconduct fairly and confidentially and takes appropriate action, including corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, where necessary, to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
