The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and accountable editorial process. The journal welcomes complaints from authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders regarding editorial decisions, peer review, publication ethics, or journal management. All complaints are handled confidentially and in accordance with the recommendations of COPE and ICMJE.
Complaints may relate to:
Editorial decisions and publication procedures.
Peer-review process or reviewer conduct.
Publication ethics and research misconduct.
Editorial delays or communication issues.
Conflicts of interest or journal policies.
Authors who believe that an editorial decision was made in error may submit a written appeal to the Editorial Office. Appeals should include a clear explanation of the grounds for reconsideration together with any supporting evidence. Each appeal is reviewed independently by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated editor not involved in the original decision.
Authors should:
Clearly explain the reason for the appeal.
Respond to reviewers' or editors' comments.
Provide supporting evidence where applicable.
Submit the appeal within a reasonable time.
The Editorial Office reviews all complaints and appeals fairly, objectively, and promptly. Where necessary, appropriate corrective action will be taken in accordance with COPE and ICMJE recommendations. The decision reached after the completion of the review or appeal process shall be considered final.
