Authorship Criteria

The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) follows the authorship recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research and who accept responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the published work.

Authors must:

  • Make a substantial contribution to the research.

  • Participate in drafting or revising the manuscript.

  • Approve the final version before submission.

  • Accept accountability for the published work.

Contributorship

Individuals who contribute to a study but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately in the Acknowledgements section with their permission.

Contributors may include:

  • Technical or laboratory support.

  • Statistical or data analysis assistance.

  • Language editing or proofreading.

  • Administrative or funding support.

Editorial Responsibility

The journal does not accept guest, honorary, gift, or ghost authorship. Any authorship changes or disputes are handled in accordance with the recommendations of COPE and ICMJE. The Editorial Office reserves the right to request supporting documentation and may reject manuscripts that fail to comply with the journal's authorship requirements.
